When refugee families move into a Sydney suburb, they have significant barriers to overcome in language, culture and social structure. Connecting with the bustling community around them is a bewildering and overwhelming puzzle for most. The Sydney Refugee team seek to meet practical needs, build authentic relationships and nurture dignity and worth in the refugees themselves, so they can become flourishing members of our community, experience a sense of belonging, and more easily embrace a new life that looks forward to a positive future.
